What is HEC?
Home Educators' Conference
We consider the Home Educators’ Conference to be a really important event in the TEACH calendar. It is a time when many families enjoy a time of refreshment, encouragement and fellowship as well as the many creative activities for children and young people. We continue to increase the variety and diversity of the programme and hope that more families will benefit from this special opportunity for TEACH families to come together. We also recognise that as with many elements of home education, families make significant sacrifices to attend such events. In addition to wanting to see the event expand, it is our heart that more families will feel that attendance at the Conference is attainable. Both of these factors have provided us with an incentive to prayerfully seek a new location.
We are very excited that the new location will provide us with more even options for interactive activities and sessions. Cefn Lea is nestled in the beautiful hills of Mid-Wales and we are sure that all families will enjoy these restful surroundings.
Accommodation includes pine chalets and static caravans all located in close proximity to the main centre. There are also camping pitches with good amenities and numerous electrical hook-ups. Full and half board options remain, however a new self-catering residential option may appeal to many families on a lower budget. We believe this will be welcomed by all families.
