Department for Education & Training

Accelerated Christian Education began as an educational revolution from the increasingly secular state system, aiming to return to the God-centred values that once allowed our nation to provide an educational system that was the envy of the world.  Beginning in the 1970s, Accelerated Christian Education allowed schools to spring up throughout America, and since the 1980s has been flourishing in the UK. With over fifty schools established through Christian Education Europe, hundreds of young people have graduated from this individualised, Christ-centred system of learning, which galvanises their faith and launches them into society as educated, confident citizens motivated to serve in whatever capacity the Lord directs.

Starting a School

If you have heard from God to start a school, Christian Education Europe is available to help you shape your vision into reality. We have formulated a track with demarcations, which will enable you to run towards your goal with confidence. We are not exempt from government requirements, but we are familiar with how to meet these requirements without compromise. Your starting place is to apply to us for a school pack by registering your interest with our Customer Services manager, (01793 783783). Over the following months, we would request that you visit one of our model schools, and that you attend a five-day professional training course (see Professional Training) where we would anticipate mapping out your path to opening your new school. The process to full registration, dependent on your circumstances and personnel, would probably take up to a year.
Currently, the new government has launched an initiative to start Free Schools. We are open to assist with your Free School proposal, but remind you that the track to excellence remains firmly dependent upon God. Whether you open an independent Christian School or Christian Free School, our goal is that the kingdom is extended and He is glorified.

Choosing our Schools
Individual

Your children are unique and need to be served and nurtured to their full potential as individuals. Our schools recognise God’s unique design for each child and seek to disciple them in the character of Christ.  The Accelerated Christian Education programme provides the structure towards successful character training integrated with the stable building blocks of a rich education.
We have schools situated all over the country and would anticipate that one is within reach of your home. If you think that your nearest school is too far, we would love to assist you in starting a school that would reach your community as well as serve your own children. Please look on the Schools Directory and be in contact.
Christian Education begins with the conviction to trust God to seek Him for every step of your child’s education. Most schools have an admissions process that involves arriving at a place of agreement to provide two-way care and commitment to your child, an involvement that embraces the family for life. Upon acceptance, academic diagnosis of your child will place him in the curriculum where he can best achieve his maximum potential. Your child will be confident of his own progress through guided, measurable learning, which is rewarded according to its merit (se eFive Laws of Learning and Curriculum). Children make progress through the core curriculum in this way, richly complemented by a diverse range of activities and classes in supplementary subjects to complete their educational entitlement.
As your child matures, academically and spiritually, he will become aware of his God-given path for life. This will help him determine his long-range goal and his short-range path. This will involve choices within our system of certification (see ICCE).

Support for Your School
Our department for Education and Training provides ongoing assistance for your school, through systems of support that encourage standards of excellence; inspire fresh educational methodology; and inform of government regulations.
‘In Service’ days are provided throughout the academic year, past days including topics such as: “Building the Staff Team;” “Afternoon Lessons;” “Special Needs;” “Student Training;” “Careers;” “Best Practice;” and many other titles all available on DVD. ‘In Service’ days provide relevant training and information to current educational issues helping you to conform to government regulations and galvanising your school into an effective ministry. Upcoming for this academic calendar, will be:Heads’ Day- 8th October, Singing Workshop- 2nd December, This workshop is designed to assist students in their ministry and preparation for singing events at European Student Convention (see European Student Convention). ‘In Loco Parentis’- 2nd February,Moderation Matters- 21st June.

Our team of experienced educators carry out assistance visits to every accredited school using the A.C.E. programme under the CEE umbrella. School assistance visits are designed to give a health check to each school, providing instruction, guidance and support to staff and administrators in order to raise a standard of excellence. An annotated evaluation guide has been created to present to you model examples of every aspect of the schools framework and function, guiding you in your processes and performance. The assistance visitor will use this booklet, which is already familiar to you, enabling you to offer the best to the children in your care, that you may stand confident before government inspection.   The checklist of the booklet will provide a star grading out of an hundred and together with the helpful instruction of the assistance visitor will lead you into best practice and add value to your school. Schools that are considered to be operating well can expect a score of at least sixty-five percent, and even then would be aiming for eighty percent and above. As well as a verbal report back on the day, your school will receive written documentation and details to empower improvements. The standardization guide is available from CEE upon request.
Christian Education Europe has a calendar of other events throughout the year intended to serve your needs as educators and encourage networking between the schools that they may stand united in our Christian endeavour to disciple and educate the children. Events include the annual Educators’ Conference (see Educators’ Conference) for the staff; City Connection Days to raise awareness of Christian Education and bring edification to parents and staff alike; and European Student Convention (see European Student Convention) to develop links between the senior students of national and international A.C.E. schools, inspiring them in the acquisition of new skills and a desire for excellence.
